Some of our Youth Intervention Programs require the completion of an Intake Assessment with one of the agency's clinicians. This is a separate component, but nonetheless important to identify and discuss the variety of potential causes and reactions to group therapy and education. The assessment is 1.25 hours long. The assessment needs to be completed prior to starting either STOP or ChIP. Please call our Wooster office at (330) 264-9597 to schedule an Intake Assessment.

Parents should attend the assessment with the youth and should contact the office to find out what information they need to bring to the appointment (i.e., income verification and insurance documents).

Youth participating in YHRC's youth intervention programs will sign a participant contract as part of the enrollment process. This contract guides the participation and interaction of group sessions and includes assurances that youth will attend all sessions, complete all assignments, participate in all discussions and pay all fees before the group is considered completed. Growth and learning are expected out of the group interaction, but this can only be achieved if contract rules are followed. The group component is separate for billing purposes.
